The Discovery of Global Warming

I recently rediscovered a great, comprehensive resource on The Discovery of Global Warming by Spencer R. Weart, meant as a supplement to his much shorter book. It handles among lots of other climate related topics the discovery of the greenhouse effect (starting with the work by Joseph Fourier in the 1820s!), the history of paleoclimatology and also delves into the social implications and includes references to all sources. It’s quite long, you can possibly spend days reading all of it.
